Dan Haseltine

Birth date: January 12, 1973

Short Bio: Daniel Haseltine, commonly known as Dan, is the lead vocalist for the band. He also writes most of the lyrics for the Jars of Clay songs. He was with the band from the beginning in Greenville. He is commonly referred to as the serious one of the group.

Charlie Lowell

Birth date: October 21, 1973
Position in Band: Plays various Piano based instruments and Background vocals
Favorite Verse: Ephesians 2: 8-10
Talents: Playing an Saxophone and the Wind-Controller, Serving others
Hobbies: Playing Solitaire, Writing Letters, Spotting allusive Deer-Cows
Short Bio: Charlie is the one who came up with the name of Jars of Clay. On stage Charlie can be heard and seen playing both the Organ/Piano and the Accordion in any of their songs. But because of this, he is usually in the back and hardly seen.

Matt Odmark

Birth date: January 25, 1974

Talents: Plays an assortment of musical instruments, Multi-weapon nuclear assault tactics
Hobbies: Boating, Skiing, and Photography
Short Bio: Matt was the last to join the Jars of Clay. Because he hardly ever sings, Matt is thought to be the quiet one of the group. But some doubt there is a quiet one. Before Jars of Clay, Matt was an English Major and if you ever read his some of his writings you’d know it.

Steve Mason as told by Tim

Hobbies: Making people laugh, collecting things
Short Bio: Steve Mason, like many other Steve’s I know, has a great sense of humor. If you have ever been to one of the Jars of Clay concerts, you would know it. He is also a great musician and isn’t afraid to let you here it. He is also a very cheerful person.

Aaron Sands

Position in Band: Bass Player
Short Bio: Other than his shaved head not much is known about the Jars bass player. When the Jars first saw him playing, they knew he should be playing for them. More to come.

Scott Savage

Position in Band: Former Percussionist
Short Bio: Even though Scott is no longer with the band, he left on good terms and the guys consider him a friend. He kept the beat for them for several years.

Joe Porter

Position in Band: Percussionist
Short Bio: Joe was with the guys back from their Greenville days. He even played on the Frail version of Fade to Grey. Before taking over Scott’s position, Joe was the drummer for Plumb.
